Hirondelles by Lalique
Lalique’s "Hirondelles" collection was brought out to celebrate the 130-year anniversary of the company. In honour of the company founder René Lalique, the swallow is the central motif on these crystal glass artworks. That is because among the fauna which would later become the focal theme of many of the ornaments and jewellery items produced by the company, the swallow was a special source of inspiration for René Lalique. The swallow, seen as a herald of spring and a symbol of happiness and freedom, has a very positive image and thus makes a wonderful motif.
Lalique’s "Hirondelles" collection again perfectly demonstrates the virtuosity and expertise of the company. The objects are created by masters of their craft and the precision of the design can be seen in the purity of the high-quality crystal. With Hirondelles", Lalique manages to crystallise nature in an enchanting way and invites us to admire its beauty.
