Influential designer Jasper Morrison, renowned for his pioneering philosophy of the "super-normal", has created cutlery, chopsticks, and salad servers for the collection with archetypal shapes that achieve a perfect synthesis of form and function through subtle refinements. Made entirely from cherry wood, the cutlery pieces are both durable and light as a feather. Even the knife blade is made of wood with a rounded edge, perfect for spreading soft butter and filleting fish.

Japanese artisans refine the radical lines of the wooden cutlery using a traditional lacquering technique called Fuki-Urushi. By repeatedly applying and wiping off the natural urushi lacquer with soft cloths, a thin layer of lacquer is created that protects the wood and artfully enhances its natural grain with a silky sheen. This gives the fine cherry wood an authentic and powerful elegance that contrasts magically with the flawless surfaces of silver-plated tableware.
