Elaborate cutting makes the coloured crystal glasses glitter like diamonds. Indeed, three of the famous techniques of the Saint-Louis manufactory are needed to achieve this effect: facet cutting, ball cutting and diamond cutting. This exquisite tableware sparkles in eight expressive colours. The highball glasses are part of the “Tommy” collection designed in 1928 and one of the most important and famous series produced by the Saint-Louis glassmakers. This classic design attained renown on the occasion of a dinner held in the Hall of Mirrors at Versailles to honour a visit by King George VI. On that occasion, each of the places for the eleven guests was set with eleven glasses from the “Tommy” series. Each one of these glasses is still produced today by France’s oldest crystal glass manufacturer with the same precise craftsmanship and attention to detail. Each glass is mouthblown and cut by hand. Further articles from the “Tommy” series can be viewed below.

It is recommended to clean by hand with a soft sponge and mild dish soap. Place glasses on a paper towel, allow to drip dry, and dry with a soft, lint-free cloth.

Do not put products with gold or platinum decorations in the dishwasher, do not use white vinegar and dry thoroughly; do not use abrasive materials, bleach, or rubber.

Clean carafes and pitchers with lukewarm water; do not allow wine to stand. To remove tannin or limescale deposits, use equal parts white vinegar and lukewarm water. Place a paper towel in the neck to dry.

Pre-warm tea glasses and pre-chill ice buckets to avoid temperature shock.

Important note for candle holders: To avoid thermal shock, change the candle when the flame is 6cm away from the crystal. It is recommended to use a candle snuffer.

"Chin Chin mit Gin! Das Lieblingsgetränk von Queen Mum ist hip bei Youngsters und immer mehr Barfliegen."

"In den puristischen Zeiten war sie verschwunden. Jetzt ist die offene Hausbar wieder da! Und sehr retro-chic. Wie gut, dass sie sich so wunderbar leicht improvisieren lässt. Die Basis bildet ein antikes Silbertablett, auf dem unterschiedlich hohe Gläser und Karaffen angeordnet werden."
