A Look Inside the Crystal Orbs – The Sparkling Design of Bubbles
Designed by Teleri Ann Jones in 1992, "Bubbles" is one of the first contemporary glassware collections from the centuries-old Haute Cristallerie Saint-Louis. The sight of the glowing hot glass drop at the end of a glassmaker's pipe inspired the English artist to create a glass series that is both fragile and powerful. Her original design bubbles over with imaginative associations and modernises the historic Saint-Louis style with intelligent charm and humour.
The central elements of "Bubbles" are the long stems of the stemware, which consist of a playful column of marbles. Like bubbles in Champagne, the crystal orbs ascend in a straight line and slowly grow until they meet the gracefully curved goblets. The bubble motif continues on the goblets with a pattern of spherical cuts that evenly cover the surface of the fine crystal glass.

An invitation to play. The Bubbles glasses surprise with their wonderfully pleasant feel as soon as you touch them. The smooth spheres feel solid and weighty and are at the same time surrounded by a graceful, dignified aura. Their sensual curves tempt you to play with and explore them with relish. The whiskey tumblers and highball glasses also entertain the fingers with a slim hourglass shape that gently moulds to the hand.
Naturally, the glasses in the "Bubbles" collection are available in the famous Saint-Louis colours. Whether hock glasses, Champagne flutes or footed cups, the concentrated colours make the hand-blown and hand-cut crystal glass sparkle like precious jewels. The colour spectrum ranges from dense, rich hues such as dark blue and amethyst violet to delicate shades such as amber and flannel grey.
Saint-Louis completes the "Bubbles" collection with selected decorative crystal glass objects for the festive table. The candlesticks and the small vase lend the tablescape a graceful verticality. The bowls and the Champagne cooler add volume and multiply the incident light with their brilliant spherical cuts.
