Mademoiselle Aurélie Bidermann and the House of Christofle
The "Babylone" collection is a collaboration between Christofle and Miss Aurélie Bidermann. With her refined and imaginative jewellery collections, the independent designer has been a reference in the French jewellery world since 2003. For her collaboration with Christofle, the well-known influencer combines elements of classicism, art deco and modernity to create an eclectic elegance in the style of her beloved neighbourhood around Rue de Babylone.
The leitmotif of the collection is an organic braid pattern inspired by the delicious curves of a freshly baked braided brioche bread. Sometimes large and voluminous, sometimes small and discreet, the decor dynamically adapts to the minimalist and clear forms of the home objects it adorns. A hand-applied patina emphasises the deep reliefs, which are created using the elaborate lost wax process.
Modern Silver and Porcelain for the Home and the Table
The "Babylone" collection includes silver-plated metal as well as porcelain objects for serving and decorating. Silver-plated centrepieces, bowls, cups, napkin rings and candle holders are accompanied by biscuit porcelain dinner plates and dignified vases on silver-plated bases. Sophisticated candles inspired by the Lost Wax process bring the emblematic braid decor to every corner of the room.
