About the brand Kosta Boda
The Swedish province of Småland is well known for its numerous glassworks. This region in the southeast of Sweden also calls itself the “Kingdom of Crystal”. Kosta is the oldest operating glassworks in Sweden. Glass for windows, bottles and drinking vessels were already being produced here in the eighteenth century. Later, Kosta became famous for the work of well-known designers such as the glass artist Ewald Dahlskog. In 1990, Kosta merged with a former competitor from the “Kingdom of Crystal”: the Boda glassworks. The brand has since been known as Kosta Boda.
Famous for encasing colour: vases and glass art by Kosta Boda
Extraordinarily colourful creations are produced by the Swedish glassworks of Kosta Boda, using designs by well-known artists such as Anna Ehner, Göran Wärff or Kjell Engmann. The “Pure” jug and the vases from the “Seaside” range have charming colour inlays. The bottles from the “Fiji” series play with the colours of the rainbow – and the “Fine” carafes or the “Barcelona” vases display convincing but simple elegance.
Artedona offers a selection of mouth-blown carafes, vases and bottles by the traditional Swedish glass manufacturer Kosta Boda.
